Will TikTok's Rise, Survive?

Most platforms have implemented features and products like this after deep thoughts, but TikTok has not only learned from its social trends but also from it's past and continues to grow and develop itself with such diverse audience requirements.

Owned by ByteDance, the company behind Tautiao, musical.ly and BuzzVideo is considered to be one of the most valuable Unicorns(Startups that have crossed $1 Billion in valuation) of the world.

It's a point that TikTok is different from its peers in that industry but its more advanced than others been. 

In comparison to Instagram by Facebook saw 444 million downloads in 2018, TikTok was downloaded 663 million times in 2018 and a total of 1 billion downloads growing at a higher rate than any social media platform.

Instagram leading the engagement game with 53 minutes per day followed by SnapChat whose users remain active for about 49 minutes per day whereas TikTok users are active for about 43 minutes per day data from SimilarWeb says.

With record-breaking downloads, competitive engagement levels, wider reach, and understanding of social media trend its not brainer that TikTok would be a success. But one thing which lacks in TikTok is ads. TikTok is making serious bets on monetizing its platform.

It recently tested ads on its platform for a certain section of the audience. The format of the ad covers the full screen with texts. The Chinese corporation rapidly expanding would stay ahead of its competitors? Most of TikTok's audience is rural in Tier 2 and below cities in India and Abroad its core audience.

Will, it hit the bell and pose serious competition to YouTube or generate revenues more than of Facebook and Google in Advertising or wrap up the engagement game in its favour from Instagram and Snapchat? The story is yet to unfold.
