Boss or Leader : What's your choice ?

Often we get confused between who is a boss and who is a leader.

The more we get deeper, the more complex it gets. Being a boss is much worthy of being a leader.

Our ecosystem promotes us to become a boss, become a manager, get people to work under you, get to make decisions, get in touch with similar people of the same stature. But often very few get to aspire for becoming a leader.

Leader as a word is not much explored but is a relevant term in politics, social industry, social events, some places in corporate culture, or people with the vision to accomplish a goal.

Leaders are charismatic, driven with purpose and a specific objective.

Bosses are people stipulated for a specific job, to overlook a task, measure people and their activities, give orders and supervise situations.

The leader has many similar qualities of a boss but with the boss doesn't have that many qualities of a leader.

A simple question is if you have to believe and obey a person who is just granted for you t supervise or a person who just got stipulated on you creating an impact. And the impact is created by performance, interaction, behavior, intelligence, power, vision and whatever things which keeps the other apart.

In terms of action too, a leader and a boss can be differentiated.

A boss blames others for a breakdown, whereas a leader gets down to the situation and works to fix the breakdown to keep the situation running.

A boss inspires fear, but a leader creates enthusiasm who leads by example which is clear to understand but tough to express the experience

A boss has superiority over employees or people and drives the employees to get things done which often may leave a negative impact on the person who might be actually working on it for the first time, but a leader understands the situation and coaches to get the best out of people and support to excel.

A boss commands, but a leader asks or requests

A boss uses people for its own situation but a leader develops people.

Although these examples are very much concerned with my experience I'm sure there are many other examples which you experience in your day-to-day life with people and ensure you implement in your actions too.
